This time, it comes from deep diving into the art of Blue Pottery found in Jaipur, India.
THE CRAFT
The art of making blue pottery was first developed by Mongol artisans who combined Chinese glazing technology with Persian decorative arts. The blue pottery industry, with Persian influences, has been in Jaipur since 17th century, periodically getting fresh doses of life from the Royal family of Jaipur.
INTERPRETATION
Playful, fantastical creature forms take the form of alphabets & wear skins of floral motif, blue pottery’esue patterns.
